Jesus came to Galilee proclaiming the gospel of God: “This is the time of fulfillment. The kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.”

Mark 1:14-15

Lord Jesus, you proclaimed the coming of God’s Kingdom and called your people to repentance and faith. Help us to recognize our sin and repent and to believe in the Gospel, the Good News of salvation that you won for us on your Cross.

Each Gospel writer wrote his Gospel for a different audience. This means that he used different writing techniques and included different kinds of information that was specific to his audience. The Gospel of Mark is no different.
